Weather-wise August was amazing! Good temperatures and nice breezes have made it a real joy to be out there doing what we love – building gardens! This month took us to Alderley Edge in Cheshire. Living Gardens challenge here was to incorporate a play area, paved seating area, storage space and composite deck veranda into a narrow outdoor family space.

Using curves for a path and seating area made the garden feel bigger, giving a longer journey than a sharp straight line. A modern square veranda matched with the modern interior of the house marrying the two areas perfectly.

Now for those who aren’t familiar with Composite Decking, it is quickly becoming the most popular form of decking in the garden.

What is Composite Decking?

Composite Decking is an environmentally friendly deck board consisting of plastic and wood fibres, bound together to form a solid board.

Pros of Composite Decking

Weather Resistant // Stain Resistant // Low Maintenance // Doesn’t Rot // Lightweight // Modern Look

Cons of Composite Decking

Some look cheap // Some are slippery // Some boards hold water after rain

These are a couple of other jobs we've completed recently with composite decking.
