June 2013 - RHS Hampton Court

Written by

Living Gardens have arrived and commenced our build at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show! We are one week into a two week build! And so far everything is going according to plan!

Artificial lawns are on the increase - Fact! Here at Living Gardens we
are having more and more enquiries about the product, thus leading to
more installations. This has in-turn now become a product which is
always in mind when designing a new garden, which wasn't the case 10
years ago.

A winter update would normally commence something like ...."Well with
Summer no over...", however i along with 65 million other UK residents
were unlucky enough not receive the sunny Summer season this year,
well certainly not in Lancashire and Greater Manchester anyway!

Living Gardens is pleased to announce that we have entered a national garden design competition, hoping to earn ourselves a place at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2013.

January 2015 - NEW FOR 2015 - COREgravel

Written by

Gravel is one of the most attractive, economical and versatile surfaces on earth. But without help, it's inclined to move around, creating ridges and ending up where it shouldn't. Core gravel is the solution. It creates a naturally porous stabilising base into which the gravel site - and STAYS! It's easy to lay, inexpensive and very, very effective.

January 2014 - APL Awards

Written by

As the rain, hail, sleet, snow pour down, a glimmer of sun poked it's way into Living Gardens' letterbox yesterday - we have been short-listed for a national APL (Association of Professional Landscapers)award for garden design and landscape.

As you can probably guess from the title, the month of November has taken the Living Gardens team to the coast. This month has mostly been spent in Lytham in a Landscape Contractor capacity, working closely with a leading northern garden designer, bringing to life their detailed plans by constructing a large modern outdoor space.

The Living Gardens Team can now tell that there is a bite of cold in the air, however some prefer these working conditions as opposed to the blazing hot sun! Autumn is a great time of year to see colour change in leaves which can give a garden a totally different look. It’s also one of our favourite times of year to go for a walk, kicking through leaves as you do!

The hot days have now most certainly drawn to an end, however, we cannot complain about the weather we have had this year at all! The weather has been stunning for gardeners up and down the country!
